Prometheum co-CEO Aaron Kaplan has dismissed certain tokenized offerings as abstract forms of gambling, arguing they undermine the integrity of investing. His comments come as the firm races to support on-chain securities, despite controversy over its regulatory stance.

Kaplan previously testified that the SEC provided clear compliance guidance for crypto firms—a position that drew criticism from industry advocates. With tokenization gaining momentum under a crypto-friendly SEC, Prometheum is pivoting to specialize in digital asset securities.
